LEARNING AND ENGAGEMENT
iNAUGRAL AND GUIDED TOURS
INAUGURAL TOUR
This tour opens the show which will be breifly led and explained and then persons on the tour will have time to return and interact and explore within the exhibit.
Before the tour begins, there will be offerings of food in the foyer, as wells as small cups of pink tinted champagne to begin this celebration of women’s acheivements
GUIDED TOURS
These tours will occur daily, except weekend at 2 pm and at 4 pm.
These tours will allow persons on tour to gain an understanding of curator vision and show
concepts from beginning. The guided tour will also give persons on tour an understanding of who has been included within the 111 women featured and why. After the tour, persons may return to the gallery to interact and explore in depth the exhibit.

These tours will occur daily, except weekends at 10 am and at 1 pm.
These tours need to be booked in advance by school groups.
Students are encouraged to bring their notebooks, and lunches. A locker station will be provided.
Dreamers - This tour aimed at younger students between grades 3 and 6 will tour students around various parts of the exhibit with an emphasis on hearing certain women’s stories and will include discussions and end with students drawing and writing about what inspired them, and their own dreams.
A Woman’s Perspective - This tour is aimed at highschool students to begin discussions and understanding of equality in its various forms as women’s histories and stories are explored in the exhibit; through questions and discussion. Students will be encouraged to be open to looking in depth at new perspectives. Students will have time to explore the exhibit on their own time after the tour end.

FAMILY DAYS
I HAVE A DREAM - This special weekend will encourage families to discuss dreams and obstacles encountered on the way to acheiving dreams. There will be a puppet show, story tellers, and street preformers as well as art activities for families to partake in.
BECAUSE WE CAN - Sundays from mid-morning to mid-afternoon through the duration of the
exhibit special family workshops will take place that explore various careers through play and games in a special guided show.

YOUTH EVENTS
UNITED RISING - This special evening will look at the rise of revolutions through history and the inevitable struggle for power and equality through a series of performance, lecture, and theatre.
BLOOM - This special evening will celebrate women and youth through a evening soiree in which performers mingle with youth as they make their way through and explore the exhibit. A small cafe will be set up in a garden setting where youth can sit, mingle, and discuss over a drink.

An Artistic Journey - breaking out of old patterns - 7pm (Women who managed to escape the mold)
Women in Science - 7 pm (How women became involved in science & math in a patriarchal world)
From goddesses to inequality - what happened - 7 pm (Tracing back through roots of inequality)
Female artists across the globe - 7pm (Women’s involvement in art from China to Peru)

A play on the Take back the night events that take place in many cities around the world - in which women go for walks in large city parks at night. Here the museum will be open all night in a special event where musicians and videos will play as women feel free to explore the gallery and Grand Palais grounds where other performances and art pieces will be set up.
WITCH
A special night that explores the history of religious goddess and witchcraft through
looking at ancient rituals and their differentiation between countries. All facets of woman including those that are thought of as “negative” or “bad” will be explored, examined, and patriarchal ideas broken down. To be an interesting night for sure.
